1. Scope
This policy describes categories of information that the Salaf Articles app and its informational website may process. Actual processing depends on the version and features in use.
2. Information processed
- Account identifiers and contact details needed for sign-in or support, where enabled.
- Reading preferences, saved items and reading progress where available.
- Sanitized diagnostics such as app version, operation stage, error codes, timestamps and request IDs.
- Content a user voluntarily submits through enabled features.
3. Purposes
We use the above information to provide reading and account functionality, support, security, error diagnosis and operational stability.
4. Google user data and Drive
An authorized content administrator may connect a Google account to access selected book files managed for the application, within the approved OAuth permissions. This informational website does not request Google account access from visitors. Data obtained from Google is not sold or used for advertising. Its access, use and sharing are limited to the disclosed book-service functions and necessary service providers, subject to applicable Google API policies.
5. Service providers and translation
The app may use infrastructure providers for authentication, hosting and storage, Google Drive for managed book files, and language-processing services where a translation feature is used. Only information relevant to a requested operation should be transferred.
6. Error reports and maintenance
We aim to retain appropriately redacted operational diagnostics linking client and server failures. Passwords, access tokens, encryption keys and sensitive private content should not be included. Some diagnostic fields may not be available for every incident or app version.
7. Retention and security
Information is retained as necessary for service operation, security, support, and applicable legal obligations. Appropriate access and security protections are maintained and improved over time. Backup retention may differ from active records.
8. Your rights and deletion requests
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of eligible personal information or to ask about a processing activity. Requests may require identity verification and are assessed against applicable retention obligations.
9. Children
Where a minor uses the service, appropriate supervision and applicable requirements should be followed. Do not submit unnecessary personal information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to features, services and practices. The revision date appears above.
